Georgetown this week launched Called to Be: The Campaign for Georgetown, a $3 billion ambition to advance our university’s mission and impact.
Since Georgetown’s founding, we have understood our responsibility to help meet the world’s most profound needs—and have committed to grow in a way that allows us to answer that calling. Today, our Georgetown community is called to take on challenges that are more complex than ever. To empower principled leaders and skilled problem-solvers. To strengthen the health and social fabric of communities worldwide.
Through this campaign, we are answering, focusing on four areas of great strength for Georgetown—and even greater opportunity.
Loyal FEED readers will see some familiar themes and programs among the 250+ giving opportunities tied to our campaign commitments. As always, students are at the core—reflecting our centuries-old Jesuit tradition of providing access to higher education, our ongoing dedication to building and supporting a thriving community, and our recognition that the exponential impact of a Georgetown education wouldn’t be possible without our exceptional students.
CALLED TO BE CAMPAIGN COMMITMENTS
Ensuring our student community thrives
We want the world’s best students from all backgrounds to choose Georgetown and participate fully in their college experience. Our Jesuit tradition of cura personalis, care of the whole person, calls us to make that possible—by meeting each student’s needs, through scholarships and support across all dimensions of learning and formation.
